Independent lab-only courses (1 science lab credit) are for external students only, i.e., science lab transfer credit to other universities is recognized for these lab-only courses. These courses are not meant for Athabasca University BSc program students. To register in a Independent Lab course, you will first need to have the course opened by the course professor. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER IN AN INDEPENDENT LAB COURSE IN ADDITION TO REGISTERING IN A 3 CREDIT LAB COURSE. A 3 credit lab course already includes the lab component.
