Athabasca University offers standard university-level physics courses with home-lab components, which are transferable to other schools and institutions in North America and throughout the world.

Most of our students take physics courses for their degree or as a prerequisite for a graduate school or a professional college.

Physics courses include: PHYS 200, PHYS 201, PHYS 202, PHYS 204, PHYS 205, PHYS 210, PHYS 495, PHYS 496

Astronomy

Athabasca University astronomy courses are designed to introduce the science of astronomy and develop a basic understanding of the major components of the universe.

These courses are standard university-level courses, which are transferable to other institutions in North America and throughout the world. ASTR 210 is a science-stream course with lab credit, while ASTR 205 is a general introductory course. 

Astronomy courses include: ASTR 205, ASTR 210, ASTR 310, ASTR 495, ASTR 496
